Frequently Asked Questions
At Fairytale Bride, when you book bridal appointments, you will have the entire Boutique for you and your guests. Your appointment can last up to 1½ hours and you will have the opportunity to try on any of our gorgeous dresses. We only see one bride at a time so each bride is provided with a one to one consultation. No sharing of mirrors and dressing room areas! You can be yourself with your closest family & friends as we help you find your dream dress.
To help us keep our sample gowns in super condition, we kindly ask that you do not wear fake tan and it would be much appreciated, if you could be sparing with any make up. Finally, it should go without saying, strictly no food or drink. Thank you.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes! We are an intimate bridal boutique open by appointment and tend to book up in advance. To book your appointment, click here. No appointment but hoping to come by? Please give us a call, we can sometimes accommodate a last-minute appointment request.
Who should I bring to my appointment?
We kindly recommend that you bring at most, 2 – 3 people per appointment and although we adore children, because we’re only small, we ask that you make other arrangements for them, during your time with us. Chose family members or friends whose opinions you value most. while you may want to bring along many of your closest friends and family members, it can also easily make dress shopping more difficult. It’s hard to listen to your own voice when you are hearing the opinions of others. Bringing along a few of your loved ones keeps the experience special and focused on you.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please come prepared with your shoes and neutral underwear. These should be the ones (or very similar) intended for your event and a strapless bra is a good idea, if you have one. This will help you to see how the wedding dress will look like on the big day.
How quickly can I get my wedding dress?
Standard delivery times from the date of purchase to your dress being delivered are approximately 14 -18 weeks. You are most likely to need a couple of minor alterations so best allow another 4-6 weeks in addition to the delivery time. With that in mind we recommend ordering your wedding dress 6-9 months prior to your wedding day, allowing time for production and alterations. Rush orders can often be accommodated, though rush fees do apply. If you find yourself short on time, there is the option to purchase your dress from our sample sale collection.
How much is a deposit?
We ask for a 50% deposit. The balance of your gown is due once your dress arrives in.
What are the price ranges of your wedding dresses?
Our collection ranges in price from £800 to £2500. The majority of our dresses fall between £1100 and £1600
Do you provide alterations?
Because we have limited space we do not have in-house alterations. but we have a list of independent seamstresses that previous customers have used to their satisfaction and each Bride is welcome to choose the seamstress of their choice. Alterations are an additional cost and charged separately by the seamstress concerned. Throughout the alterations process we are always here and happy to help answer any questions you may have.
What sizes are your sample dresses?
You might be pleased to know that the majority of our dresses are sampled in size 12-18, though we do carry a selection of sample gowns in smaller and larger sizes. We understand it can sometimes be difficult to envision your wedding dress when the sample size is less than a perfect fit, and we have clips and tricks to help give you a very good idea. Our aim is to dress brides of all shapes and sizes, and we are continually adding a range of sample sizes to our dress collection.
